St. Petersburg College Bay Pines Center / New marine science labs and classrooms / 10,993 GSF
This new Marine Science Lab and classrooms facility is home to St. Petersburg College’s Marine Science program. Located on Boca Ciega Bay in Bay Pines, Florida, the facility houses science and prep labs, classrooms, a multi-purpose teaching auditorium, offices, and ancillary support service areas. Built to “sustainable” design standards, the facility includes ADA parking, bicycle racks, elevator access, and covered outdoor collaborative space.
In addition to the building, Biltmore performed environmental and complete site development; entry roadway, parking and landscaping; docks and boardwalk. This environmentally-sensitive site is home to a documented bald eagle nest which requires carefully scheduled construction activities and construction suspensions during their mating season.
