City of Largo Library Complex/ New Multi-story municipal complex/ 90,300 GSF

The new multi-story signature library complex is comprised of four wings with an interconnecting core building featuring a four-story central entry tower, courtyard and connector parkway to the existing park. The library features specialized humidity temperature controls to preserve the library’s collections.

The facility serves as City’s “community living room” and community center with wireless technologies throughout. Core areas include: a bookstore, conference rooms business resource/career center, reading/study rooms, and multi-purpose divisible space which functions as a source for events, community gatherings and meetings. There is a program room wing with a coffee shop that is designed for public access after library hours. The library includes a dedicated teen suite with observation booths cantilevered above the entry atrium. The complex is precast construction with stucco, glass and brick finish hardened to withstand a category five storm event. Biltmore’s scope included all site work and infrastructure installations.
