Eckerd College Sheen Science Complex/ multiphase interior and exterior renovations / 35,800 GSF

Comprised of three separate buildings, this multi-phased project encompassed both interior and exterior renovations of the Sheen Science Complex with a total renovated area of approximately 35,000 GSF. The scope included replacement of a new fire sprinkler systems for the entire complex and asbestos abatement. Existing space was remodeled to house new collaboration/study areas, computer classrooms, environmental and physics teaching labs, and lecture halls. Additional scope included:

New impact windows
Fume Hoods and associated Gas Lines
New Data/IT
Restroom Renovations / ADA Upgrades
Parking reconfiguration, paving, striping, and signage
Railing Replacement
Installation of Photovoltaic Panels on Buildings A and B

Constructed to LEED Standards, the rooftop solar panels generate over 50 kW of electricity to power two buildings, along with new energy efficient fixtures and equipment, resulted in a 30 percent reduction/savings in energy consumption
