DMS: Miami Circle Enhancements / New landscaping and upgrades to historic site
Working under a Continuing Contract Biltmore performed extensive maintenance and landscaping on Miami Circle Park. The park, which houses the remains of an ancient Native American settlement needed extensive work to repair existing erosion damage and to make the park more usable by the local community.
Work included new sod over the entire site, over 1,400 new plants, new railing, decorative rocks and boulders and repairs to the irrigation system, new drainage and hardscaping. All work was done on a tight coastal site located in the center of Downtown Miami and special precautions were made to ensure no ancient artifacts were damaged during construction.
