Florida Department of Health Charlotte County Joint-Use Health Clinic / New two-story clinic and admin. building / 47,500 GSF

This new two-story facility serves as the Charlotte County Main Health Clinic and Administration Center. The first floor houses multiple user groups representing all public health clinic services accessed via a main public entry with a large porte-cochère. The first-floor public health clinic provides community services such as examinations, WIC care, Dental care, immunizations, STD care, diagnostic and testing as well as general physicians care.

Using a separate staff entrance, the second floor provides administration and program offices, Human Resources and Staffing, Management Information System Department, Staff Break Area, Lockers and Shower Rooms, Conference/ Meeting Rooms, and Training room.

The facility is hardened to withstand Category Four winds and features RGS connectors that enable the addition of a large portable generators to power the entire building to function as a last-resort shelter for emergency responders during an emergency event. The building was constructed to Green Building Standards including piping and conduits to accommodate future solar panels.

Constructed on an undeveloped “raw site”, the project scope included complete site work for the 24-acre parcel including all infrastructure installations, lighting, utility extensions, parking and landscaping.
